The Sanctuary - Pigs & Igs - Pigs

Yo Yo
You Have No Food?
You are waking me? You are here and you have no food? Hmmmm. You wanted to scratch my stomach? That will be ok. You can scratch my stomach. Then perhaps we could get a snack? I am retiring as you can see. I don't mind waking up for food. I will wake up for stomach scratching. I would have gotten up myself in a bit. There is a pool down the way for me to roll in. I visited the creek earlier today. I am looking forward to the mud near the barn. I will go grazing soon as well. Wonderful food in the pastures and under the trees. Fruit literally falls to the ground for us there. I am really looking forward to dinner. I am forced to share it with five other Pigs. Oh? You do not know me? I am Yo Yo Blackwell, a Potbellied Pig. You thought we were small? Little things? A common mistake. One that leads us to places like The Sanctuary.

Willie and Boomer This place is as good as any. Except here they made us get neutered. We are all men. If we were women, we would probably be spayed. They have a passion for such things here. That and vaccinations, horrid things, needles stuck into us. Reprehensible, if you ask me.
Pictured to the left is Willie and Boomer. Boomer, the pink Pig was the first Pig to come here. He lived in the kitchen for a time. Went absolutely bezerk when he met me. Inspired the human to call her associates at the California Potbellied Pig Association for tips on how to relate to a simple Pig. We are not all that complicated. Feed us properly, scratch our stomachs, we'll show you that we are easier to
Johnnytrain than your Dogs. Probably because we are smarter. Willie came with his brother Warren, they are almost identical. The Vet came to vaccinate them on their arrival and found them both to be neutered. The human was excited. Kept saying, "That's great!" Strange reaction to finding someone has lost important body parts, don't you think? As mentioned before, they have a passion for such things around here.

Pictured to the right is Jimmy who is part Boar. He and Johnny,
Yoyohis brother, get more food than us. Before they got more food they were very pushy because they were hungry. The other Pigs are out eating somewhere. Which means I should go get mine. Perhaps you would like to meet the little Pigs, the Guinea Pigs? Or you could meet the Iguanas. They are not like us. We share these pages because their knickname rhymes with ours. Humans are so clever.
