Why We get Spayed and Neutered

If we don't get spayed and neutered, we become a whole lot of Cats.
Two Cats can have two litters each year. There are usually 3 Kittens that become adult Cats in each litter. How many is that in four years? Oh my. Can you multiply and add? Get those scratch pads and pencils out and let's do some math!

Why Spay and Neuter Cats?

Here's how to figure it:
Start with number of litters per year, 2, times the number of Kittens per litter, 3.
That equals the number of Kittens.
Add the number of kittens to the number of cats you started with.
Cats plus Kittens: C + K = answer

1. If a male and female Cat are not spayed and neutered they will have two litters one year, and each litter has 3 kittens, how many cats at the end of the year?
8 Cats
6 Cats
10 Cats
Now the Kittens from the first year are ready to have Kittens too.
How many will we have?

Start with number of litters per year, 8, times the number of Kittens per litter, 3.
That equals the number of Kittens.
Add the number of kittens to the number of cats you started with
Cats plus Kittens: C + K = answer

2. The Cats from the first year have 8 litters of three Kittens each in the second year. How many Cats do we have now?
36
32
24
Now the Kittens from the first and second year are ready to have Kittens.
How many will we have?
Here's how to figure it out:
Start with number of litters per year, 32, times the number of Kittens per litter, 3.
That equals the number of Kittens.
Add the number of kittens to the number of cats you started with
Cats plus Kittens: C + K = answer

3. The third year the Cats from the first and second year have 32 litters of three Kittens each. How many Cats do we have now?

120
128
132

Now the Kittens from the first, second and third years are all ready to have Kittens. How many will we have?
Here's how to figure it out:
Start with number of litters per year, 128, times the number of Kittens per litter, 3.
That equals the number of Kittens.
Add the number of kittens to the number of cats you started with.
Cats plus Kittens: C + K = answer

4. The cats of the third year have 128 litters of three Kittens each. How many Cats do we have now?

521 Cats
