 Guinea Pig Guinea PigWho are we? We are Two and Andi. We are two of five. Two came from a swampy field in the middle of winter, on the coldest night of the year in fact, where he and forty of his brothers and sisters were left by a breeder. A sad night, Twinkie, Two's sister, and Two were the only two who made it to The Sanctuary. Cats took some, and people living near the field thought it was wonderful that they could all grab free Guinea Pigs. We shudder at that. For how many were spayed and neutered like Twinkie and Two? Did the people know we can't live in wire bottomed cages? Did they know that we need extra vitamin C because our bodies can not make it the way Cats and Dogs and Rabbits do? Oh we hope all the others are ok. We will never know for sure. The human from The Sanctuary stayed out in the feild all night until the morning when she could catch Two. Twinkie she caught early. But Two was very tricky. The rest of us, like Colleen here, came from Shelters where people brought us because they didn't want to take care of us. We can't figure this out. Why would someone not want to take care of us and have us in their homes to weep and gurgle? We are very nice Animals. We are very cute. Do you know why people don't want us? We are cuter than Rabbits and we don't eat as much. Though we would like to. We really like to eat. We'll come running to you if it's time for you to give us food.
Andy By MyselfFor now, it is just I left on this page. That is because I just had a personal victory. You see, The Rug, a ne'r do well, joined our family nine months ago. All the women here are spayed and all the men neutered. The Rug was not. So he was very agressive. Even after he was neutered he was a ruffian. I left. I moved out and went to live with the Rabbits. I was not going to fight with him. Two would run, that is Two. How he stood it I do not know. After six months in exile I returned to the Guinea Pig room. The Rug has finally seen that peace is a good thing. I am back with those of my own species. So for now, I have this page to myself. To me, The Sanctuary is now the heaven it was before my problem.
