Rabbit Care
The newest articles regarding Rabbit Care are both written by Dr. Micheal Murray of Monterey CA and focus on Myxomatosis, a dangerous viral disease that is one of the many dangers Rabbits face. If you live in the central coastal regions of California, this is a very important issue. You can read some facts from a Vet who has seen more cases than most by going to Myxomatosis. The second article, Myxomatosis in Rabbits, is a bit more in depth and was originally presented at a Veterinary Conference.

We are now publishing online pdf versions of the rabbit care info we distribute in our community. You can choose between a printable or web page version of Rabbit Diet, written by one of the heroes of Rabbit Rescue, Sandi Ackerman, founder of The Best Little Rabbit, Rodent, and Ferret Shetlter and celebrated Rabbit Veterinarian Susan Brown. We also have the basics of rabbit care available in Rabbit Care and Keeping Buns Safe which includes a list of plants that are toxic. All three of these articles have printable copies!

We are proud to be publishing Sandy Koi's wonderful article on Orphan and Baby Rabbit Care, a thorough article on the delicate art of raising baby Rabbits. This article is accompanied by wonderful pictures of one of our associate's, Mary, charges from day one of their life through their present getting grown up state. Also a special on tragedy's associated with the lack of spay/neuter surgery. Through experiences at The Sanctuary, we are adding some very important reasons to spay and neuter Rabbits, beyond the issues normally discussed in Rabbit Care literature. Guinea Pig Care Two new articles are now on line. The first on caring for Pregnant Guinea Pigs talks about the process Guinea Pigs go through giving birth as well as some of their special needs.
